Gym attendance with a QR code that cannot be copied
Attendance happens at the door, not in a register. Staff scan the member's code, Gymkar checks the membership, and the visit is logged in a second.
A rotating code, so sharing does not work
The member's check-in code is signed and changes every few seconds. A photo or screenshot of yesterday's code is refused, and so is a member whose membership has ended.
- Works on any phone with the member app
- Expired memberships are refused at the door
- Each visit is tied to the branch where it happened
Visits, streaks and monthly counts
Every check-in builds the member's visit history. Members see their streak in the app, which keeps them coming; owners see who has stopped visiting before they stop paying.
- Visit history per member
- Day streaks shown in the app
- Attendance rules per gym
Coming next: biometric devices
Support for fingerprint and face devices such as eSSL and ZKTeco is on the roadmap, alongside QR check-in.
Questions gym owners ask
Can a member check in with a screenshot?
No. The QR code changes every few seconds and is signed, so an old screenshot is refused.
What happens if the membership has expired?
The check-in is refused and the front desk sees why, so they can renew the membership on the spot.
Do you support biometric attendance machines?
Biometric device support (eSSL/ZKTeco) is planned. Today members check in with the rotating QR code from the app.
